ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE - The petitioner alleges that he is presently confined at the Putnamville Correctional Facility and wishes to challenge the federal government's authority to execute an immigration detainer upon his release in March 2026. The clerk is therefore directed to add as respondents (1) the Warden of the Putnamville Correctional Facility, and (2) the U.S. Attorney General. A copy of this Order to Show Cause, the petition, and exhibits shall be distributed electronically to the United States Attorney. The clerk is directed to issue process by mail to the Warden of the Putnamville Correctional Facility and the Indiana Attorney General. Process will consist of the petition (dkt. 1 ) and this Order.
