ORDER: Appellants shall file, on or before February 27, 2026, a brief memorandum stating why this appeal should not be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction. If appellants contend that this court has jurisdiction over this appeal, they should also address whether this appeal should be remanded to the district court to enter a second corrected judgment to specify the relief provided to the petitioner. See Johnson v. Acevedo, 572 F.3d 398, 400 (7th Cir. 2009); see also Grunt Style LLC v. TWD, LLC, 140 F.4th 839, 846 (7th Cir. 2025) (“[F]or purposes of Rule 4, a deficient judgment is still a judgment ….”). A motion for voluntary dismissal under Rule 42(b) of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure will satisfy this requirement. Briefing is SUSPENDED pending further court order. If appellants wish to request an extension of time in which to file the notice of appeal, appellants should file an appropriate motion in the district court, not this court, as soon as possible. Appellants’ jurisdictional memorandum should include a discussion of the status of any such motion.
