MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Richard F. Boulware, II on 2/13/2026.Before the Court is Mr. Juan Carlos Flores Flores's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (ECF No. 1 ). The Court has preliminary reviewed the Petition and finds that it is procedurally defective in the following ways.First, the Petition lacks a signed verification statement. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2242, all "[a]pplications for a writ of habeas corpus [must] be in writing signed and verified by the person for whose relief it is intended or by someone acting [on their] behalf." 28 U.S.C. § 2242 (emphasis added). Petitioners Petition is not properly verified.Second, the Petition contains sensitive, personal information. Under this Court's Local Rules of Practice, "[p]arties must refrain from including[,] or must partially redact... [,]... [certain] personal-data identifiers from all documents filed with the court," including home addresses. See LR IC 6-1(a). The Petition discloses Petitioner's home address. See ECF No. 1 at 5.Therefore, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED Petitioner must re-file a verified petition for a writ of habeas corpus that complies with this Court's local rules by February 17, 2026. Petitioner can do so by using the "Notice of Corrected Image/Document" event. Until then, this Court DEFERS any consideration of Petitioner's application for a writ of habeas corpus and his related motion.IT IS FURTHER ORDERED the Clerk of Court is kindly instructed to SEAL the original petition for a writ of habeas corpus (ECF No. 1) pursuant to LR IC 6-1(a).(Copies have been distributed pursuant to the NEF - DLQ) (Entered: 02/13/2026)
