TEXT ORDER : This matter comes before the Court on the pro se Petitioner's petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. (D.E. No. 1 ("Petition").) The Court notes that Petitioner subsequently filed a second habeas petition in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California ("Eastern District of California") and that, on March 4, 2026, the Eastern District of California granted the habeas petition and ordered Petitioner's immediate release from immigration detention. See E.D. Cal. No. 26-0586, D.E. No. 8 . Accordingly, the Petition (D.E. No. 1 ) is DISMISSED as moot. The Court LIFTS its Order (D.E. No. 3 ) prohibiting Petitioner's transfer from the District of New Jersey and his removal from the United States pending further order of this Court. The Clerk of the Court shall serve a copy of this Order upon Petitioner by regular U.S. Mail at the following address: Luis Alberto Lugo Garces, 245-580-903, California City Detention Center (ICE), 22844 Virginia Blvd., California City, CA 93505.
