ORDER: (1) The Clerk of Court is directed to send a copy of Bekzada's Petition 1, all relevant attachments to the Petition (Doc. # 1-1 through 1-6) and this Order by electronic mail to the United States Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky. (2) Respondents shall file their response to the petition within fourteen (14) days after the date of entry of this Order. The response should be in the form of a memorandum addressing the factual allegations and legal claims contained in the petition. Neither a formal motion to dismiss nor a motion for summary judgment is appropriate for these proceedings. MEMORANDUM OPINION & ORDER: (1) Petitioner's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus 1 is GRANTED; (2) Respondents are ORDERED to immediately release Petitioner, or in the alternative, provide him with a bond hearing under 8 U.S.C. § 1226(a) within seven (7) days of the date of this Order; and (3) Respondent shall file a Status Report with this Court on or before March 27, 2026 to certify compliance with this Order.
