MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Richard F. Boulware, II on 2/10/2026.Before the Court is Mr. Walter Carrillo-Figueroa's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (ECF No. 1 ). Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2242, all "[a]pplications for a writ of habeas corpus [must] be in writing signed and verified by the person for whose relief it is intended or by someone acting in his behalf." 28 U.S.C. § 2242. Mr. Carrillo-Figueroa's Petition is not properly verified.Therefore, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED Petitioner must re-file his Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus with a proper verification statement by February 12, 2026. Petitioner can do so by using the "Notice of Corrected Image/Document" event. ORDER GRANTING WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS signed by Judge Richard F. Boulware, II on 2/18/2026. The 1 Petition is GRANTED and the 2 Motion for Preliminary Injunction is Denied as moot. A Bond hearing is to be set no later than 2/205/2026 and if granted, Respondents are ORDERED to immediately release Petitioner from detention. The Petitioner shall be afforded until March 20, 2026 to satisfy any monetary bond conditions. If a bond hearing is not held, Respondents must immediately release P etitioner on his own recognizance.
