MINUTE ORDER signed by Magistrate Judge Jeremy D. Peterson on 2/25/2026: Petitioner, initially proceeding pro se, filed a 1 petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Therein, petitioner alleges that he was arrested and had been detained at the Golden State Annex Detention Center since 12/7/2025. Id. at 19. The court granted 2 petitioner's motion to proceed in forma pauperis, and appointed him counsel 6 . On 2/18/2026, petitioner's counsel appeared. Two days later, respondents filed a 8 motion to dismiss, arguing that the petition was moot because petitioner had been removed from the United States to El Salvador that day. Later that day, petitioner's counsel filed a 9 temporary restraining order. Petitioner's counsel is directed to file an opposition to respondents' motion by 3/2/2026.
