Federal respondents move for a two-day extension of time to comply with the court's March 24, 2026, order directing the petitioner's return to this district, 22 arguing that circumstances beyond their control (a cancelled flight) thwarted their diligent efforts to return him by April 1, 2026. 24 On April 3, 2026, respondents filed a notice informing the court that the petitioner was returned to the Nevada Southern Detention Center on April 2nd. 26 With good cause appearing, the respondents' motion to extend time 24 is GRANTED nunc pro tunc to April 1, 2026. Respondents' compliance with the court's order is thus timely. Petitioner also moves for an extension to file an amended petition, asserting his counsel has been unable to meet with him while he was being transferred. 23 With good cause appearing, that motion is GRANTED.
