MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Cristina D. Silva on 2/9/2026. I defer ruling on Karen Weinstock's verified petition to practice pro hac vice (ECF No. 2 ) because counsel failed to attach the required "certification issued within six months before the date of filing of the verified petition [showing] that the applicant's membership is in good standing from the state bar or from the clerk of court of the supreme court or highest admitting court of every state, territory, or insular possession of the United States in which the applicant has been admitted to practice law." LR IA 11-2(b)(3) (emphasis added). Although Weinstock provides a certificate of good standing from New York, the petition indicates that she is also admitted in Georgia, and no certificate of good standing from Georgia was provided. Counsel is advised to file the petition with both certifications using the "Notice of Corrected Image/Document" event to link it to the existing filing by February 20, 2026. Failure to amend by that date will result in denial of the petition.Additionally, if designated Nevada counsel T. Laura Lui now maintains an office in Reno, Nevada, rather than Murray, Utah, then she must update her CM/ECF account information to reflect her current address. If Lui does not maintain an office in Nevada, then she must associate or designate a licensed Nevada attorney maintaining an office in Nevada as required by Local Rule IA 11-1(b)(2).
