MINUTE ORDER signed by District Judge Daniel J. Calabretta on 2/13/2026: In light of Petitioner's release from custody, the Court finds the Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (ECF No. 1 ) is moot. If a petitioner has been released, a petition does not present a case or controversy if there is no remaining collateral consequence that may be redressed by success on the petition. See Abdala v. Immigr. & Natrualization Serv., 488 F.3d 1061, 1064 (9th Cir. 2007); see also Spencer v. Kemna, 523 U.S. 1, *7-8 (1998). Petitioner's release satisfies the entirety of the relief sought by Petitioner (see ECF No. 1 at 24-25), and there appear to be no collateral consequences from Petitioner's prior detention. As such, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Petitioner's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (ECF No. 1 ) is DISMISSED AS MOOT. The Clerk of the Court is directed to close this case. This order resolves all pending Motions. [TEXT ONLY ENTRY] CASE CLOSED. (Deputy Clerk GJM) (Entered: 02/13/2026)
