Minute Entry for proceedings held before Judge Todd W. Robinson: Show Cause Hearing held on 2/26/2026. The Court finds that 8 U.S.C. § 1252's jurisdiction stripping provisions do not bar this Court from considering Petitioner's habeas petition. The Court further finds that Petitioner was released on his own recognizance in accordance with Section 236 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Thus, The Court finds that 8 U.S.C. § 1225(b)(1) does not apply to Petitioner. Accordingly, Respondent are ORDERED to provide Petitioner with an individualized bond hearing under 8 U.S.C. § 1226(a) within fourteen days. Respondent SHALL NOT deny Petitioner's bond solely on the basis that 8 U.S.C. § 1225(b)(1) requires mandatory detention. (Court Reporter/ECR Chari Bowery). (Plaintiff Attorney Richard Sterger). (Defendant Attorney AUSA Thomas Merritt). (no document attached) (jao) (Entered: 02/26/2026)
