TEXT ONLY ENTRY (In Chambers) by Magistrate Judge Brianna Fuller Mircheff. The Court has reviewed Petitioner's Reply, filed by counsel, which reflects arguments that Petitioner has not previously made and exhibits that were not previously produced. (ECF 15.) The Court has discretion to consider arguments and evidence raised in a Reply, and given the recent appointment of counsel, the Court is inclined to exercise that discretion in Petitioner's favor. In fairness, however, the Court will offer Respondents an opportunity to supplement their response if they choose to. If Respondents want to address any points raised in the Reply, they may file an optional supplement NO LATER THAN APRIL 7, 2026. The matter will then be taken under submission. 15 THERE IS NO PDF DOCUMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ENTRY. (ch) TEXT ONLY ENTRY (Entered: 04/03/2026)

SCHEDULING NOTICE TEXT ONLY ENTRY (In Chambers) by Magistrate Judge Brianna Fuller Mircheff. The Court issued a Report and Recommendation, which recommends granting the Petition and ordering that Petitioner be released from custody. Either party may file objections to this Court's findings and recommendations under 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(C). By Local Rule, the objections period in a case involving a person in custody is presumptively 20 days. See L.R. 72-3.4. However, the Court finds that a shortened objection period is warranted here given the nature of the relief at issue. See United States v. Barney, 568 F.2d 134, 136 (9th Cir. 1978) (per curiam) (holding that a district court has the discretion to shorten the objection period). Accordingly, the parties must submit any objections to this Report and Recommendation on or before April 13, 2026, at noon; any responses to objections must be filed as soon as possible, but no later than April 14, 2026. If Respondents do not intend to file objections, they should promptly notify the Court. (ch) (Entered: 04/09/2026)
