ORDER granting 6 Motion for Leave to File Document: The decision to grant or deny an application to proceed anonymously is within the sound discretion of the district court. See Sealed Plaintiff v. Sealed Defendant, 537 F.3d 185, 190 (2d Cir. 2008). Having reviewed the Petition and Petitioner's motion, the Court finds Petitioner's interest in anonymity exceeds any public interest in disclosure at this time. See id. at 189. Additionally, Respondents will not be prejudiced because Petitioner has already disclosed his identity to counsel for Respondents. See Dkt. No. 7. Accordingly, Petitioner's Motion for Leave to Proceed Using Initials and to Redact Identifying Information (Dkt. No. 6) is GRANTED. This ruling is subject to reconsideration if Respondents oppose the request within three (3) days of this order, or if the Court finds that there are material changes in the circumstances on which Petitioner's motion is based. (HEREBY ORDERED by Judge Margaret M. Garnett)(Text Only Order) (Garnett, Margaret) Transmission to Office of the Clerk of Court for processing. (Entered: 02/09/2026)
