MINUTE ORDER (Text Entry Only) The Court has reviewed the Petition filed under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (Doc. 1) and the related request for emergency injunctive relief (Doc. 3). Petitioner asserts that that he has been detained since September 2024 and has not been provided a bond hearing. (Doc. 3-2) Counsel attests that petitioner was diagnosed with a medical condition in May 2025 after which a plan to obtain a surgical consult was developed. Id. He was transferred to another facility in September 2025 where he has not had a surgical consult despite that counsel believes petitioner's condition has worsened. Id. Counsel does not indicate that petitioner has received no medical treatment but asserts that she and a consulting physician disagree with the more conservative treatment he is receiving. Id. Petitioner offers no explanation for his delay in seeking the Court's intervention. Thus, the TRO request is untimely, and it is DENIED. Local Rule 231(b). The matter is referred to the Magistrate Judge to decide this matter as quickly as possible signed by District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston on January 15, 2026. (Deputy Clerk IM) (Entered: 01/15/2026)
