MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Cristina D. Silva on 1/30/2026. On January 29, 2026, the respondents filed a motion requesting a one-day extension to file a response to Cesar Charuco-Urrutia's petition for writ of habeas corpus. ECF No. 11 . The respondents assert there is good cause for a second extension because the requested extension is brief and sought due to its recent reassignment of counsel. Id. at 23. I find that a one-day extension would not prejudice the petitioner or undermine the requirement that petitions be promptly addressed under 28 U.S.C. § 2241, so the respondents' motion to extend time (ECF No. 11 ) is granted.
